KS3 Wooden mazes

This was designed to be the first project in the workshop for novice design students; familiarity with tools and the purpose of accuracy were high on our priority for skills we wanted our students to come away with. The maze project asks students to plan their resources exceptionally well before they start making. They measure and cut small pieces according to their specifications and learn how to sand and drill acrylic and wood. These are foundational skills to build more complex projects later in their development. Students are given autonomy over their chosen clients and the design and finish of their products.
